Our Sustainability Commitment

At Lulu & Boo, sustainability isn’t a buzzword, it’s a responsibility we take seriously. As a small UK-based jewellery business, we are committed to doing things differently: slowly, thoughtfully, and transparently. Green washing has become a massive issue and jewellery brands are guilty of this. It is not enough to use the word sustainable, or indeed think that using recycled precious metals is enough. What is important is to understand being sustainable is a journey of constant assessment, learning and implementation. It is a continuum, not an end state.

At Lulu and Boo, as the business grows we are striving to build a business which creates beautiful jewellery that will last a lifetime. Alongside that. It is important as we grow to build a business which is socially and economically responsible. We will always endeavour for our materials to be traceable, transparent and remain honest about how your jewellery is made. We will work towards assessing our carbon footprint and minimising or offsetting that.

Our Materials

We use only solid recycled gold in our collections. We never use plating, which means our forever jewellery is made to last a lifetime, not a season.

Made in the UK

All of our fine jewelry is handcrafted by either myself or a small team of skilled UK-based artisans. Keeping things local supports our community and helps us maintain a low carbon footprint.

Timeless Design

Our jewellery is distinctive yet classic. Created with longevity in mind. We avoid trend-led designs that encourage fast fashion. Our pieces are designed to be loved and worn forever.

Carbon Awareness

While we already work with a low carbon model, we’re exploring ways to formally assess our footprint and improve further. We're committed to transparency in how we operate.

Ongoing Reflection

We know sustainability is not an end state, it’s a journey. We are actively questioning how we can go further in areas like traceability, ethical sourcing, and always clearly communicating.

Responsible Packaging

As much as possible, we use plastic-free packaging and papers sourced from responsibly-managed forests for all packaging, helping to reduce unnecessary waste.
