How Lulu and Boo was Born
Share
I am often asked when I started to make jewellery? The truth is, it was all a bit accidental. Written in the stars?
A chance meeting with an old school friend in the street in 2018 where I noticed and commented on her beautiful bracelet. "I made it", she said. I had a lifelong love of jewellery but I had never considered who made it or that I could have a go.
So I started evening classes. Initially using silver clay and then progressing on to silversmithing. I was hooked! Rediscovering my creativity which had been sleeping since school was a massive help for me as I was struggling with my peri-menopause and loosing self confidence and self belief. Making jewellery gave me new focus. It was almost like therapy.

It was only supposed to be for me. I wanted to make jewellery I would love to wear and was frustrated by the 'same old' on the high street. Fed up of buying jewellery which tarnished and didn't last.
I started to post my first makes on my own instagram and people started to follow my journey and they seemed to like what I was making.
People started to contact me and ask where they could buy my designs. Did I have a shop? More and more people were reaching out to buy my jewellery!
So in January 2022, I decided to try to sell my jewellery and Lulu and Boo Jewellery was born!
So this is pretty bonkers!
At three and a half years old, I am filled with gratitude for every single order. I am grateful for all of my wonderful customers who have followed my jourrney, bought and loved my designs and respect what my brand stands for. Beautiful jewellery, exceptional quality, impeccable customer service and sustainability through responsible sourcing of recycled metals.

ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING is that next month, I attend a national Jewellery event, attended all of the UK big jewellery brands and I am a FINALIST in the best newcomer category. Just WOW!
My First Collection

The Halo necklaces were the first pieces that I introduced to you when I founded Lulu and Boo. They have been a bestseller from the start. Distinctively beautiful and exquisitely tactile. I love how much you love this necklace that I treasure and have collected more pieces across the Halo collection.

My newest collection is the Harlequin collection of sapphire jewellery. By far the fastest selling collection I have ever launched. You have adored the beauty of the multi coloured sapphires and the endless possibilities to create your ring, your way.
So this is the story of Lulu and Boo.
What's next? I am working hard to reach out to more shops around the UK. You, my wonderful customers, have connected so deeply with my jewellery that my main challenge now, is getting my designs seen by more people.
So if you know someone who loves quality handmade beautiful jewellery. tell them about Lulu and Boo. Tell them my story and tell them how much you love wearing your jewellery. I will carry on working hard and hopefully there is an exciting future for Lulu and Boo.
